Plasterboarding

Accurate boarding for walls, ceilings and room alterations.

Plasterboard installed with careful setting out and attention to the details that support a clean final plaster finish.

Good plasterwork depends on a well-planned base.

Plasterboard provides a new lining for walls and ceilings during renovations, alterations and work where the existing background is no longer suitable.

The supporting structure, board layout, openings and adjoining surfaces are considered before installation. Careful measuring and fixing help create stable joints and a consistent plane for the finishing work.

Once installed, the boards can be prepared and skimmed to create a smooth surface ready for decoration after drying.

How the work is approached

Measured, fitted and prepared for a clean finish.

From the first enquiry through to the finished plaster, each stage is planned to keep the work straightforward and well organised.

  1. Plan the layout

The area, supporting background, openings and key junctions are reviewed before the board layout is set out.

  2. Cut and fix

Boards are measured, cut and secured carefully, with close attention paid to joints, edges and adjoining details.

  3. Prepare and skim

The boarded surface is prepared and plastered to produce an even finish ready for decoration once dry.
